For those who have Cattman agx's.

How is the ride on your 5th gen with the Cattman Custom Agx's? Are you running lowering springs or coilovers? How do you find the ride to be from the softest level to the hardest.

Thanks,

Paul.

Did you buy the 4th gen upper strut mounts from Cattman?

Noisy?? you mean you hear the spring/shocks creak when you go over bumps or drive?

I'd like to know from fellow AGX owners as well as to how the ride is compared to stock SE suspension.

For anyone who owns an AGX equipped Maxima and have also driven an RSX, can you make a comparison on the ride quality? (I know by experience that the RSX is definitely harsh but corners pretty well)

rsx cornering is nothng compared to kyb and coilovers
it doesnt corner good at all
as a stock car it is ok
but compared to the old integra, rsx cornering is bad

My point was the harshness of the ride. An RSX is teeth shattering IMHO and i unless it's riding on a smooth stretch of road i just don't like how it rides.

Is the AGX smoother (e.g. close to stock SE)?

I just made a 9 hour round trip round trip last night with my KYBS/H&Rs on my 2K2. I had the front at '2' out of '4' and the rears at '4' out of '8'. For interstate travel, at least the crater like jaunt from Memphis to Little Rock, that setting was way too harsh. I'm thinking I'm gonna set the fronts to '1' (softest) and the rears to '2' (next to softest) for daily driving. Hopefully that will help. On a side note, Tim and I opened it up on a long on ramp sweeper and it stuck like glue with hardly any body lean at that setting. I imagine max. setting on the track will be VERY good...lol.

I drive around with my AGX's on the stiffest setting, 4 and 8. The ride does not bother me at all infact I think it is pretty damn smooth especialy comming from a tokico and sprint setup I noticed that changing the stiffness of the shocks does not seem to make the car ride much differently. IMO the AGX and H&R's is the perfect supension setup for the max, everyone in my car is amazed by how well the car handels and how smooth the ride is. The only gripe I have is I wish the car would sit a inch lower.

I'm in if you get the group deal. Please try to get them to include the dust boots. But they don't carry H&Rs, only Progress Springs.

wow i have to try 4 & 8. I have been using 2 and 3 and sometimes 3 and 3, never went higher in the rear yet, passing 3. i felt the stiffness in the rear with 3, so i can imagine what 8 is going to do.

I noticed very little decrease in ride quality when I swithed. However the rear feels much more confident in fast lane change menuvers(S?). I orginal swithed when I went to the track and I fell in love with the stiffer settings emmediatly!

I've got HR's and I'd like to get in on a group deal on the AGX's too.

One question though.....
If you have HR's you've probably noticed that slight sag in the back
of the car.
Does the AGX and HR combo do anything about the slight "sag" at the back the car?

thanks

Emax, Maximus1000...

Compared to the stock SE suspension, how much harsher is the ride? Unfortunately i'm in the part of Houston where potholes and construction areas are more prominent. In these here areas i tend to ride on the Max more than the RSX - again due to the better ride quality on the Max.

Well we are trying to set it up. If any of you are interested, email me now at pavlossal@hotmail.com.

Quite soon, we will post the group deal if it goes through. But for those who contact me early, u can have the heads up and be the first to order...If I can control such a thing...

Thanks.

Someone already posted this, but there's currently a group deal for Cattman-modified AGXs going on in the GD forum:

Yes, completely. There is virtually no gap in the back. There is a little in the front, very little, and I can live with it.

actually....let me rephrase.

After I installed my HR's with my stock struts I noticed that the drop at the back end of the car was lower than my front end. I know that many other HR owners with stock struts have noticed this.

So my question is.......does the combination of the HR's and AGX's
get rid of this "sagging" back end?

Sorry if I was unclear earlier

For those people with teh agx's on regular lowering springs, is the suspension quiet? I know this may sound stupid, but when I go over speed bumps I have to be more cautious, but sometimes im not and I hear a very weird moaning sound. Im sure its because Im streching the limits on the springs, but I just wanted to know if other people have experienced this as well.

Thanks.
