Picked up my 00' Maxima SE a week ago. Love it. Already had the front rotors replaced due to warped condition, seems to be fine so far, as I just picked it up. Sure hope this fixed that problem.

Begining to work on the dealership for the TCU problem, but I do not know if the fix is worth it. I drove a loner for the repair and it was a 95-97 (did not bother to ask
) Maxima with 104,000 miles. It had the exact same shifting delay from 1-2 gears as the 2000 Max. The same duration or a little bit longer. As this was a loner I think it would be abused, but the car was still going.

I will see after the brake-in period. Other than one rattle which was not there after I picked it up, and will fix this week, I think the car is great.

Welcome aboard and congrats on the purchase! You should get the TCM fixed because it'll wear the tranny out faster than normal... here's a link to the TSB (if you don't have it already): http://wwwcsif.cs.ucdavis.edu/~chin/...Maxima/TSB.jpg
