So long fellas......my Max is leaving me....

Before the hate mail starts, lets just say that I'm learning an expensive lesson, but also am being blessed at the same time. For those that dont know, I still have my 01 Prelude. I bought Max since the insurance was killing me on it. The other day, my uncle told me that he was paying off one of the cars for me for my graduation gift, but on the condition that I get rid of the other one ASAP. I thought long and hard about it, and decided that if I didn't have to worry about a car payment I'd rather have the Prelude. Dont get me wrong, I LOVE the Maxima, its very fast, but not all that I thought it was going to be in the quality/durability department so I'm selling it. I'm gonna take a loss obviously, but after this I wont have a car payment. Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who helped me out with advise and whatnot. I"m gonna stick around regardless.

You kept the slower, smaller, discontinued car with, I am guessing, well less to pay off? I'm guessing your degree wasn't in Finance?

I'm graduating college as an undergraduate.

I forgot to mention the stipulation that he was going to pay off up to $15K (which is right around where I was on the Prelude). I would have to put a good deal with the Max to pay if off completely with his generous gift.

BTW, my degree is in poltical science/history....lol

ha..

you can give him crap, but he's the smart one.. we *have* to keep our cars. he'll be out of it, probably at close to what he paid. And the '03s are out yet.
he beat the resale freefall.
