i got a 2k1 GXE w/ the c&c package, comes with 120watt system i think. i'm gonna change it soon, but i was wondering what kind of speakers are in there right now? are they 6 1/2" ? and what kind, paper woofer, or one of those good ones with the rubber surround ?

 

They are 6 1/2" . Most likely paper.....

 

The fronts ae 6.5 and the rear are 5.25. The are Sh!tty paper speakers

 

Some audiophiles are of the belief that paper driver produce the most accurate sound...of course not the ones that come in a Max, but I just wanted to clear up the stereotype that all paper drivers are bad.

man, i didn't know the GXE's had such crappy speakers, well now i know what to spend some of my money on.

 

give each speaker? cause if its not giving much, then there wouldn't be any point in putting the infinity's i got without an amp (i got 4 - infinity kappa 6 1/2" from my cousin). how much watts should the speakers get to produce the best sound, the speakers handle 150watt rms i think?

 

The premium non bose puts out 120 watts so that is 40 per speaker I guess. You'd probably want an amp.
