The link doesn't work the first time, and then it worked the second time I went to it. That is too cool and it looks awesome. Someone should try it...

does the 2k Q45 have 6 independant hid on one headlight?
if it does, how are we going to rewire it to our max?

the illegal way would be....find the subaru on ur previous post and have a wire cutter ready.
oh sorry....u meant the legal way?

so it does have 6 independant HID.....prob. infiniti will convert the headlight to snap-off to prevent HID thieves. so u can take it with u like ur head unit when u go watch a movie.

No, I believe it's one HID bulb with 7-optically tuned reflectors.

Detachable headlamps?

SON OF A..............

Hhahaa,

You got me thinking like a **** right now....... I mean SERIOUSLY thinking....... I know it can be done with the right modification and fiberglass molding. Damn I just need to find out how much it costs.

Then need to figure out how to adjust the lights if need after I make the mold, I gotta mold this and still make it "movable".

Son of a...... Alex, why you gotta go do this on me? I was all fine with my 2k2 HIDs. Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit.

Dixit

PS who the frig can read Japanese?? We need COMPLETE TRANSLATION on this, or at least me. My best friend has a GS300 which he is dying to do this to now that he saw it, along with me on my 2k2.

Yeah, the biggest hurdles are:
1) Finding Q45 headlamp guts from a wreck otherwise big $$$$$.
2) Having the ability to aim them once installed.
3) Can you say GLARE!

My friend has a GS400 and he's trying to find out more info on the guy who did this to his Aristo. The guy speaks English, so that's a plus.

SFCs aren't new. I had those on for about a month already. Read up on all the reviews... they're true.

Kevin, Im all for it, but my question is do they actually have to be welded to the frames? or can it be installed by us?

Not sure about the Maxx, but for my Stang, you could choose the bolt on's , or the ones that had to be welded....

Yeah, they have to be welded onto the car. If you can weld (and if you can get your hands on a welder) then you can install these by yourself.

Make sure you get your car on a lift before welding them on... no jackstands.

I can get my hands on a welder (since I got one, dont ask me why I got one, I got everything i need to rip a car apart and put it back together except a engine jack).

How much did you pay for the welding? And how much lower did it stick out? Just want to know so my speed bumps dont start grinding it. I know you are probably lower than I am with you Coilovers anyways.

I think I will get them since they fairly cheap at what is it like $150? It will make my car handle like a freagin indy car.

The weld job cost me $60. I haven't measured how much lower the car is, but I would estimate about 0.5" lower. Don't worry, you won't grind them over speed bumps. I don't remember what the price was, but I bought them through the group deal they had in February.

For people who need a translator...

http://babelfish.altavista.com/

Take the link to the page, and paste it in the "Web Page" field, then select "Japanese to English" from the "Translate From" pull down menu.

I tried it briefly, and it didn't translate everything, but you can at least see what the menu choices are on the left side of the screen.

I was told a while back from an infiniti rep that the Q45 headlights have one bulb with multiple lenses but the bulb for the light is not directly behind the lenses it sits back a ways, it basically goes lense long tube then the bulb so i dont know if there would be room to fit all of that in a 5th gen.
