the PIAA H3 box they come in actually say that they are HID's but Im not sure about that. Anyway, they look great, damn near the stock HID's on our 2K2's. Good Luck
Actually the Piaa will not last anywhere close to 6 months. I went through about 2 sets in less than 6 months. Best bet is to get some real HID's and do a custom install. Yes, silicone will be required but there is no comparison to real HID's.

I had a PIAA Platinum white in my last car. It lasted for 1-1/2 years until the day i sold it. It's probably still working until now.
From what i've gathered, the PIAA is extremely sensitive to contaminants. Never touch the bulb, and before you do install it try to wipe it off with some ethyl alcohol w/ a lint-free cloth. Let it dry first of course

Yes the platinum whites are a bit better than the Plasma Piaa. But this guy wants the HID look and that would be the PIAA Plasma that are not very durable. Ive also used the Plat White from PIAA and they never went out, but they were no where near the HID look.

I've heard good things about Hanabi HIDs, but I don't know anyone with a H3 kit.
Anyone want to be a Hanabi H3 HID conversion kit guinea pig?
