Ok... Found a place selling 6Spd transmission for the Maxima 2K2 for $1700... hmmm... tempting.

 

Having done trany conversion before... Cost me 5K, only 1K was for the tranny,..its costly, and you better find an expert who can make it lok and feel like it belonged in your car. I was happpy with mine, but I had a 5.0 Mustang Expert do it !.... Just my suggestion ....

I'm just wondering why you didn't buy a 6 speed in the first place.

It would probably cost you less to trade in your car on a 6 speed than to do the conversion...even with the bath you take on trading in a brand new car.

 

I can get $19k for my car. I owe $8k on it. Meaning I'd get $8k for it...

$23-$8= $13k... So $5k for the conversion.

 

yes.. can you please tell us where you can get the 2k2 6sp tranny for that cheap? and btw.. is it new?
