? on Clear Side Markers

I finally got my Markers in from Pro Car Parts after waiting a month and a half. My ? is, on the front marker, what is that little black tube coming out of the back of the lense? I can't figure it out, it is not a big deal but I was just curious.

Just take them off, hit them with a hair dryer, to dry up the moisture, then seal them ....

I had big problems installing the clears on my 2K2. First off, the fronts were cake, and they look great next to the HIDs. The rears are another story. Firstly, I don't agree that you should use a screwdriver covered in a towel, I still ripped off a bit of paint on the edge. Also, the rears rattle in my 2K2, and when I tried to remove them they were basically stuck in there. I had to break them apart to get them out. Right now I have clears in the front and OEM reds in the back. Anyone else have these problems? Possible solutions? I'm thinking that a spatula would help, and for the rattling some felt pads behind them? They do look sweet though. Anyone?

That tube does act as a breather.

I have the same condensation and rattle problem. My driver side rear is all soaked up and it rattles like crazy when I turn up the tunes. I think I'm gonna find a way to stuff some rubber behind it to fix the rattle issue.

Look in the book. Nissan recommends the screw driver method. That is the only way you can remove them. I had no marks after I did mine. So maybe you guys didn't use a thick enough towel or did something wrong?

What I did with mine was I scraped off the little dark grey foam feet from the original rear markers, and using Krazy Glue I glued them onto the clears.

I also used the yellow clips (ones that have the screw) from the original rear markers, and put those in place of the white ones that come with the clears.
Before I had rattling, but NOW they're nice and snug. As for the moisture.... that's a whole new problem in itself. Once my L/R dries out it's time to bust out the RTV.

I got mine from ProCarParts.com and have had no problems with them. Except for the little rattle. Did any of you guys screw them in from the back side to keep people from stealing them? Just curious.

I don't know how you could have removed them without scratches. I'm going to leave the OEM reds in back I think, looks ok, just the ambers were the fugly ones in front, looks SO much nicer with clears. Just like Kloogy, I will be using my order from paintscratch.com to fix up my mistake.
