Bra for AE Max?

Is a bra out there for the AE? I'm at the point where I hate to drive my car anywhere, and I LOVE driving my car. I am sick of touching up two to three chips one day only to have two to three more when I get home from work the next day. Any suggestions/solutions?

Re: Bra for AE Max?

You might want to try:

www.autoseattle.com

to see if they have a Colgan custom bra for the AE. I got mine from there for my SE.

The Colgan brand is priced a bit more than other brands, but the quality seems nicer and I believe they carry a longer warranty. They've just added a line of bras that have a carbon fiber look too. And if that wasn't enough, they offer mirror covers too. Good stuff.

No and there won't be

According to Nissan, because the AE is "Limited", they are not going to make a bra just for the X number of AE's that they made. We had a 2000 with the full nose mask, prior to the 01 AE and we can only use the hood piece.

Isn't there a 3M clear vinyl bra? I'm looking to get one myself.

Thanks for the help. I checked out the AutoSeattle site, and it looks promising, and the price is about what Nissan wants for their bras. If the AE is so special (and I feel it is or I would've traded for a 2k2) they could've included a custom bra for it and charged another $100 for the car. I guess I could always graft a chrome 77 FORD bumper to the front. Hmmmm urban assault Max!

I know a lot of people probably have said this before, but clear bra's kicka$$. I've got the kit that goes on the hood, fenders, and mirrors. I love it so much I'm thinking about buying the bumper kit as well.

But damn, they're expensive.

Yes the clear bras are expensive, but IMHO worth every damn penny........anything to keep those infamous nissan paint chips away.....i love mine. I can actually follow another vehicle now without breaking out in cold sweat......

if u cant find anything, just do it the ghetto way....duct tape the whole front end and spray paint it black, looks just like the bra, more durable too, yet costs many dollars less.
j/k i would never do anything like that, no offense to any1 who has though.

How promising? Are they developing one or is this just the usual 'yeah, good idea' blow off from companies who don't want to directly **** you off? I tried calling around about 6 months ago and got nowhere...don't recall if I contacted these guys though...

XPel does carry a clear bra kit for the AE. You might want to go to www.xpel.com and check a dealer near you.

I'll be getting mine shortly.

Thanks!

But I am looking for the conventional vinyl one...yeah, I know "Good Luck"!

Would like to find one to cover the front end chips in the bumper and hood rather than have to get them both repainted, and then have a clear one installed...they need painted and some repair, just not now...

What I meant by promising was that since they supposedly "custom make" the bra for your car that they may actually be able to make a conventional bra for the AE. I checked out the site, and once you finalize your purchase you provide the details for your particular car. I haven't had the time to call and speak with someone, but I'll keep hope alive.

I have tried calling/e-mailing around yet again to see if one...

will be made...so far no luck

Does ANYONE know of a place that truly makes CUSTOM covers/masks/etc?

I mean CUSTOM in the use of the term which means to make a one-off item...not the overused 'custom' which is an oxymoron if they are mass produced and refers more to the 'fit' of the piece...
