The NEW Maxima/Cefiro/I35 in Taiwan.

Just flipping thru the latest magazine talking about the latest small model change for the new Cefiro/which is the twin brother for the I35 in the states. But in tawain, it comes with a 2, 3, or 3.5 liters.

I am especially astounded with the 3.5L model which is bascially the same as the I35 but has a lot more bells and whistles.

For example:
2 head up dislpays for nav, VCD,DVD, internet access, nissans version of a emergency help operator, much luxurious looking leather, tons of wood(maybe fake), 258hp achieved by having a 200rpm higher redline than i35/maxima. S-class like front and rear lights. Overall, this is a S-class for the middle class and it surpasses ALL cars in terms of equipment in Taipei including a 600 benz.

HOW MUCH??? A fully loaded I35/Cefiro here is around $35K which when compared to the I35 in the states its almost considered dirty cheap. U got to see the rear console controls, the LCD screen on the roof, the...................

Search for "nissan.com.tw" or something along those lines, and u will feel like kicking yourselves that theirs are thousand times better than our U.S models.
If you are in SoCal, u can come by and flip thru my magazine when i get back.

alot of those extray "options" are not really made by nissan. many of those accessories are more like dealer options.. the quality isn't bad at all tho.. one of my favorites is the mobile secretary, gives you weather updates, flights schedules and tells you which roads have traffic plus more. the cefiro is an all time favorite car in taiwan, but what most people don't know is that most of it is built in taiwan, only the engine and chassis is built in japan. (or so i was told by a friend that worked in a taiwanese nissan dealership)
