Caliper Color Suggestions...

Has anyone painted the calipers on a majestic blue SE? A friend keeps trying to talk me into using red, but not so sure. This site has the best advice. I welcome all your suggestions!

I painted mine red and I officially regret it. I want to go back to silver.

Anyhow, majestic blue is too "regal" a color to be getting nutty with colors, etc.

Silver? Black?

Find a place that will make you custom colors. Maybe you can get majestic blue! That would be tight.

I am going to paint mine blue, although I am considering silver now. IMO those would be the best two colors for a Maj Blue Max.

I have a majestic blue and I am doing them up black, I think it will look nicer. the silver doesn't match the stock SE wheels anyhow.

Good ideas! I think siver would be the best way to go also. I'm going to have to take a look at the shades of silver offered. I would like to be close to the color of the rims, if at all possible.

I did one in red but didn't like it. I eventually went with a chromatic blue on all four. Not quite as dark as the car but I like the look.

I get lots of compliments on the calipers too.

Silver would look good too. The paint I used requires a ground coat that is silver and it looked pretty good too. But I like the blue better.

No, not red on Majestic Blue. I agree that a matching blue would be awesome.

caliper color

I was considering black myself as it would tough to match the silver and red would probably end up being too gaudy. Other than time, the only thing holding me off is that I've never seen a good looking hand painted caliper. At least nothing compared to a factor enamel job.

Another item that I'd like to know for certain if the aftermarket sprays in anyway degrade the performance of the calipers (heat dissipation).

I think that the foliatec kits, if you take your time with them, look great, not that different than a factory enamel job. I mean, they may look a tiny bit different, but gloss black is SO much better than dark dirt grey. And a little less than factory enamel, they are still brake calipers, not exactly the easiest part of the exterior to see. I like em.

I have Icelandic Pearl and I'm going to get the Red Brembo GT kit as soon as I scrub up the dough.
AS For a bluish max, black or HOT PINK,
OH yeah BABY then put a windshield banner that says TOO HOT on it that would be awesome. J/K but seriously Black wouldn't look bad, silver wouldn't look bad, White would look cool, red wouldn't be bad either.

I hate my red calipers now. I wish I had done black. Beware.
