Is it really? I thought it was glued on

I wound up just cutting it off when the STS was installed.

Try this: If you live in a hot climate, close all the windows, let the car get hot, and while it does that get someone to run you to the store to get a rubber glove. Once the car is really hot inside (after a couple of hours) get in and using the rubber glove on your hand, twist counterclockwise. The glue will soften up a little at about 130 degrees. It worked for me. It is held on with a glue that will bind inside the threads, get a wire brush or a toothpick and just go inside the thread. It will clean it all out.

twist my a&&!!

I bought a strap wrench...I had gloves...I had a dang hairdryer....

I used a utility knife to gouge the f$ck out of it to get it off.
ended up with a bunch of little pieces of black rubber and a plastic piece that had the thread...threw all of that **** in the trash and screwed on my brand knew silver razo replacement ****......obviously thicknes is NOT going back to stock....

but....I did find a cheap plastic replacement **** at Pep Boys that looks like the stock **** if I should ever have to remove my Razo!

If you plan on keeping your Max for an indefinate length of time, don't try to save the ****....if you plan to trade in the car

LEAVE THE STOCK **** ALONE THERE IS NO GUARANTEE THAT YOU CAN NOT DAMAGE THE DAMN THING

that is the end of this public service message, we now return you to your regularly scheduled programming
