Just a suggestion . . .
Don't clean your filters. Replace them. Why do I say that? Because the MAF sensors on our cars are extremely sensitive to foreign matter, including oil. If you overoil your filter, you may end up spending $600.00+ to fix your mistake. That's the cost of a new MAF. So my advice to you would be to stick with factory oiling. It's safer . . . at least most of the time.

Buy the intake. Use the filter. Cleab the filter with the K&N filter cleaning kit. YOU DO NOT NEED TO REPLACE THE FILTER EVERY TIME IT GETS DIRTY!!!!!! Just read the directions printed on the box, let common sense prevail, you should be just fine. Feel free to P.M. me with any questions once you buy the kit. Hope that helps.

Yeah. Good point. I forgot about the velocity stack on SI's and JWT Popchargers. I guess you'll need to clean your filters. But I've got a Berk Tuning intake and I can get replacement filters for $20.00. As far as I'm concerned, that's a cheap price to pay for some peace of mind.

Yeah. You're probably right about that. We don't get a whole lot of dust in LA, so 20K to 30K miles is more like what I would expect out of a K&N cone filter.
