Just a suggestion . . .

Don't clean your filters. Replace them. Why do I say that? Because the MAF sensors on our cars are extremely sensitive to foreign matter, including oil. If you overoil your filter, you may end up spending $600.00+ to fix your mistake. That's the cost of a new MAF. So my advice to you would be to stick with factory oiling. It's safer . . . at least most of the time.

Buy the intake. Use the filter. Cleab the filter with the K&N filter cleaning kit. YOU DO NOT NEED TO REPLACE THE FILTER EVERY TIME IT GETS DIRTY!!!!!! Just read the directions printed on the box, let common sense prevail, you should be just fine. Feel free to P.M. me with any questions once you buy the kit. Hope that helps.

Yeah. Good point. I forgot about the velocity stack on SI's and JWT Popchargers. I guess you'll need to clean your filters. But I've got a Berk Tuning intake and I can get replacement filters for $20.00. As far as I'm concerned, that's a cheap price to pay for some peace of mind.

yes that is a cheap price, and if u were u i would definetly just buy a new 1, i still have my old intake sittin in my closet, i less then 2K miles in it. but im guessin since im in az, and it get dusty here in the summer it wont last longer then 10K miles per cleaning.

Yeah. You're probably right about that. We don't get a whole lot of dust in LA, so 20K to 30K miles is more like what I would expect out of a K&N cone filter.

looks like im just gonna have to become efficient at cleaning filters then, but the thing about LA that i hate is that damn traffic u race up to 40 just to slam tha brakes on again. and i still dont understand why people park their cars in the right lane of a main street, like Los Felis i hate that road the whole right lane has POS cars park in it. not to mention almost all the roads are jacked up. u know what im talkin about and i can keep goin 4 ever on that subject. the only thing tight down there is that there is almost always something to do unlike here in Phx.
