the jwt pop charger is just a carbon copy of the k&n filter . pretty much anyway
it can be cleaned and oiled the same way, do it properly using a K&n recharge kit

a guy at work told me he just uses regular dish washing soap and some water, and just sprays it from the inside out....then he just uses regular cooking oil to reoil it.....i wouldnt trust that at all....the cleaning/re-oiling kit is only around 9 dollars....i got mine at Manchester Honda, local dealer/aftermarket shop, and they had a 15% of night, and i found that, so i bought it.....you may ask why was i at a honda place? well there was a car show there...

One last question Once a year is enough to clean it right or is it as soon as it gets dirty cuz it don't look that dirty right now but I see a little bit of that black layer on it now.

sorry for post whoring BUT

my advice, and what i heard: you dont have to clean it too often, as a matter of fact a little uncleanliness is good. i heard you should wait til its filthy to clean it

I hope you drive a lot in one year because K&N says that their filters should go 30,000-50,000 miles before they need to be cleaned and re-oiled...
