Newbie??!!

I am on this site all day, pretty much every day. While I am not a posting ***** like many of you , I post my fair share. Thus, why in god's name do I still have "newbie" under my user name.

It's irritating because the 'other' users somehow feel that we are too dumb or green to know what we are talking about when a Newbie posts.

I want some qualifications moderator!!

I think the name is purely based on the number of posts you have posted. You start with I finally posted something or Lurker, then Newbie, then Maxima Enthusiast,....lives in a Maxima down by the River etc. Just takes time. It doesn't matter anyway. Someone very knowledgable could easily be a newbie, and someone who "Needs Non-Maxima Friends" could be an idiot. If you truly know what you are talking about and don't BS then nonone should think otherwise.

I agree with lcf... Basically, I'm more a mechanic newbie, than a Maxima user newbie. I've been learning interesting stuff over the last year. Now I can do basic mods all by myself.... Keep on posting interesting stuff, not just smilies (no offense to anyone ok?)..

Good luck.

Ask for a refund!

you know, I would mind going back to being a newbie again.

Like a virgin, posting for the very first time!

One way to get rid of the "Newbie" tag is to donate to the cause. For some reason though, everyone is having a hard time getting their tag changed after they donate. Although mine was changed on the same day I donated. You also get access to the Off-Topic forum then.

Hmmm...Don't know what to tell ya. I guess you could try the "Feedback" forum on the main page. Did you use Paypal?

I'm a Newbie and proud of it! Some times you just need to be patient for things to change. Don't sweat it! Just have fun!
