Pacesetter STS Problem
Pacesetter STS Problem
I'm hearing a creaking noise coming out of my shifter. It sounded like it was the shift ****, but I took it off and it was still doing it. Anyone else have this problem or does anyone have a solution? I'm hoping it's something easier than taking it all apart again.

How low did you adjust your shifter and did you grease the plastic ball before installing it? It may be rubbing your heat shield if you adjust it too low.

it's not the heat shield
I already bent my heat shield out of the way. I do have the shifter set really low, but it was fine for a month and now it's all the sudden started doing this. It's not a metal clanking noise I'm hearing...it's a really subtle creaking noise I'm getting, and it only seems to do it either when I'm accelerating or I am putting pressure in any direction on the shifter. Please help.
