moon roof open? or closed?
i have a 2k2 maxima and i love the moonroof. it's so beautifully constructed. when i drive around i love opening the roof and getting that roadster feeling. who else likes to have the roof open? who out there is partial to the closed roof? just wondering.

Since I am a smoker, I use the sunroof alot, nothing better than being on the highway, cruising a low 6th, ashing the cigarette out the sunroof while listening to Tupac's philosophies, and after throwing the cigarette out the sunroof, slide the button all the way forward, downshift to 5-4, and catch some speed.
By the way, I am a very careful smoker, never caused any burnholes in my other 2 cars

Whenever it is open window weather, I have my moonroof open all the way. I rarely use the tilt though. If it is blistering hot out, like in the summer and my interior is like 1000 degrees, I'll turn on the A/C for a little to cool off.

It's just usually not my top priority. I do care about forest fires but sometimes people make mountains out of mole hills.

I never use the tilt except if I leave it parked on a hot day. For some reason it seems like there would be less hot air trapped inside!
Do you guys have the deflector, or is it just bs?! I have one, but I think I may take it off. Is there much of a noise difference or what?!

I use mine whenever the weather says I can. (See sig.)
I've got one on. I think it ruins the lines of the car, but I can actually cruise at 70mph with the sunroof open, with no sound flutter or other undesireable effects that I've seen and had on other cars at 35mph.
So it seems to be functional. So I left it on.
Maybe the reason it doesn't bother me, is it pretty much matches the color of my car...
I picked up one at a Wal-Mart in florida, 'cause the florida sun is brutal. It's this big-*** silver thing that folds like an accoridian. (I figure if I'm ever stranded on a desert island with my max, I can use it to flag down an airplane. )
You don't realize how big our windshields are until you see one of these things.
It works. You can get in your car and not have skin cook and stick to the seats. It may look ugly, but it does keep the interior cooler, and saves your interior...

Sun Shades
I bought one at Schucks. It's two rectangle-shaped shades made out of a nylon-type fabric. They fold into a cirlce and I store them in the pocket behind the passenger seat. They work awesome at keeping the car a little cooler, but the big benefit is they block UV rays so your dash lasts longer.

I did that once while comming back from E-town in NJ. I had about 20 guys rolling with me and I poped my head out the sunroof and took off. I had them all rolling laughing.
75mph with your head out is tough to see though I had some serious tears coming out of my eyes....
BTW- Sun roof is open when AC is not in use.

What is up with this:
HKSA Exhaust
Is this one of those wanna be systems? If so, for that price I would rather get the real deal.
Thoughts?

I usually use the tilt to get the air circulating better in the cabin. Occassionally open it up all the way on a nice day!
I've seen this on Ebay and almost bought it too. The guy uses the EVO SP to portray a Greddy exhaust. Looks good but not sure how it performs. I think one of the member's here bought one of these..but forgot who.
