Hey guys, I have the Berk Intake but want it to be louder. Can I buy whatever my berk is missing from Frankencar so it can be loud? Thanks.

The MonsterFlow filter is available to whoever else needs a replacement filter or wants to test the difference between their Berk, K&N, and MonsterFlow filters.

Fuggedaboudit! What the man wants is LOUD! So let's give him LOUD!
I'd suggest you rip out the stereo in your Maxima and install the biggest, baddest sound system money can buy, Greek. After you've got it set up and broken all the glass out of your car a few times testing it, mount a contact microphone as close to your Berk intake air filter as possible. Connect the microphone to your power amp either directly or via a preamp and turn your stereo up just as loud as it will go. Then accelerate to redline at WOT. I GUARANTEE you will have the loudest Maxima intake extant.

get the franken car midpipe....you will love it.
no difference in sound in the low rpms but at WOT the thing roars.
After the midpipe is installed keep the hood open and turn on the
engine.....the sound of sucking air is pretty damn dope.
you will like this mod........a lot

Like asu174 said, the MAF problems that everyone is talking about are on the 2K2s.

I think I'll run one more poll just to be certain about which model years are affected the most.

roger that, from the intake poll...seems franken is favored by 5th gen...2x more than berk and JWT
Greek Max - u missed a lot of good discussion about aftermarket intak and blown MAF. we are not sure wheather the cause is due to replacement of the midpipe (any brand) or the vibration to the MAF.

But based on the last time I looked at the polls, the intakes seem pretty even from the standpoint of blown MAFs when you take their distribution into account.

I'd just bang off the dust every 10K miles and replace every 30K or so? Or are my numbers way off?
Just buy the Frankencar. I have been checking by the front door every half hour to see if the UPS man dropped it off and I somehow just missed him. Guess I will have to wait until Monday......

I have a Berk Tuning Intake currently, but I guess I am confused what exactly the Midpipe is. I went to Frankencar's site, but that really didn't clear up my confusion. Can somebody please let me know. Also, what is the advantage to installing the midpipe...more HP? Or just the noise?
