I have a 2k max first shipment with 17 inch wheels and eibach pro-kit springs. My car has just reached 17k miles and i am starting to hear a squeak while driving. It seems to be coming from thes linkage in the front. The same squeak with alot more fiercness happens whenever i turn the wheel all the way when backing up. This only seems to occur whenever the wheel is in a fully locked turning position. It sounds like metal hitting metal. Does anyone have any ideas on what is wrong with my car...

i am at 10000 miles and around 8k, i noticed the same thing but only when i turned the wheel all the way when backing up...i brought it in for an oil change and some other minor fixes and without even asking them about that, they seemed to fix it...they didn't say anything to me but it hasn't been happening since the oil change (oil change at the dealership)...sorry i couldn't be of more help...don't tell your dealer you have springs on...most of them are somewhat stupid and don't realize it's lowered...just tell them you are hearing this sound when you are backing up w/ the wheel turned and reinact that for them...maybe they can fix it

before i brought it into the dealership, i talked to a couple friends of mine w/ springs on their integras and they told me that sound was normal w/ aftermarket springs...but after the dealership visit, it hasn't happened since

Thanks for the info. I'm glad to hear it isn't just my car. The guys at the dealership (Baytown,Texas)havn't noticed, i've been in there several times to get my oil changed. It is amazing that guys that work around cars all day wouldn't notice. But hey... i guess they aren't true "car guys"

Well the verdict is in. I took my car to the dealership today and it was the turn stops. The little peices (plastic) that stop the wheel when it is in locked position. They had holes in them and there was metal sticking out!! The lady in the service department told me that "I should try not to turn the wheel all the way." If the turning radius didn't suck so much then i wouldn't have to !!!

Good to see you got it all fixed. I feel really embarassed when I can't make a complete U turn at a busy intersection.
