sway bar or strut bar?
sway bar or strut bar?
i was looking on the stillen website and i was wondering if i should get a rear sway bar or a rear strut bar. . .
if i remember right, sway bar is underneath the car and the strut bar is mounted inside the trunk. . .which one is more beneficial? or should i just go ahead and get both?
LMK your opinions

You should definately get a rear sway bar, it is by far the most noticable mod. Sorry if my wording is a bit off, I am under some severe meds. The swaybar reduces body roll, something the max has a lot of and the strut bar reduces chasis flex. There are two strut bars one for the front on top of the engine bay between the two strut towers and in the trunk between the two rear strut towers.
get both if you got some dough to throw around. if you can only get one, the rsb is much more noticeable as far as handling goes. the strut bar looks nice but doesnt do much for us.
I got a front strut bar, and I can feel a significant difference. I can still feel the back "roll" though. Remember, if you get a rear strut bar you will have to install it in your trunk, and some people might find that obstructing. I use the space in my trunk a lot for lugging my musical equipment around, so my next mod will probably be the rear sway bar.

u have to cut ur carpet and find the strut mounts under there...it wont block the seat...but u lose the pass thru.

Yeah get both if you can. On the 5th Gen Max, where does the RSTB mount? Will it block the passthrough at all when you fold down the back bench seats?

So you end up with holes in your carpet, and can't use the passthru. Thanks for the info, that's good to know. I think I'll definitely pass on that option and just get the FSTB and RSB.
