Shifting in a 2000 SE

We just purchased a 2000 Maxima SE yesterday from Car Max, and I just wanted to see what other 2000 owners had to say about the shift throw in their manual. For my car, it's a very long throw made worse by the little arm rest extension that moves up and down. Are there any aftermarket short throw shifters that reduce this problem? Does anyone have one installed, and if so, does it really improve shifting? Thanks.

Welcome to the Org. You should find all info about your maxima here.

The shift throw really doesn't bother me, but I think there is some short throw's avail.

you can purchase a short throw shifter from either pacesetter or STILLEN. STILLEN is alot more expensive than pacesetter, however, with a pacesetter STS, u are able to adjust the height of the shifter as well.

for STILLEN STS, go to www.stillen.com.
for pacesetter STS, go to www.custommaxima.com
