wouldnt it suck if the mold was cut from a 2k2 hood and it didnt fit my 2k perfectly enough? i would be screwed. i dont want this to happen.

My friend has a Cervini Hood that runs a low profile scoop directly into his intake on a Mustang. That would be something I could go for... Not some gray-black hood, on a Glacier Pearl max !

on the other hand..if u went road-racing, drag or show...the difference can be quite something..

Secondly, the Maxima is NOT a luxury car. It is NOT a sports car. It's more of a sporty semi-lux sedan. For my price range, the Maxima kicks ***, and I love it. But who are we fooling? It is no Mercedes.
No, because I smoke C- Class and Kompresor Mercedes... The poor mans Mercedes.. !
Screw BMW ! THey stink up the industry ! If I had my pick, I would go with a E55 Mercedes, with a Brabus exhaust .... Can you say BYE BYE........ Oh, and im still LUXURY !

Look at my car, and imagine a CF hood on it. If you dont think that would look RIDICULOUS , then oh well....

if you want pics of a Fiber Images hood I can do that... but keep in mine what we will get is better than that
I guess somehow we got totally OT here, but yeah I don't think a clean looking CF hood would look bad on a Max, regardless of color. As long as the vents look good, not just like some afterthought.
Fold points?
(Slowly dragging this thread back into on-topicness...)
Question about CF hoods. Do they have fold points/energy absorbtion points like metal hoods? Or do they turn into a guillotine like the buicks/chryslers of the 60's in front end collisions?
I'm curious about how much engineering goes into these things.
(The heck with what they look like, I wouldn't mind getting rid of some of the front weight bias...)

kinda lost interest in drag racing anymore..road racing is better..

someone please shut down this thread...sorry Malik..looks like ur gonna have to start over..
haha will do Hoon I'll cut and copy the important posts I will need everyone to repost ok?
and about the fold points? they fold around the center of the hood... they can do some pretty crazy folding, I've never seen a CF hood break. What I have seen is a Civic that hit a light pole and the car was totalled but the CF hood was perfect (explain that huh
)
I will ask the molder for more details! thanks for the good question!
