Just saw a AUTO cl run a 14.0 at 101 mph

not sure if anyone here goes to New England Dragway , but last week or so there was a white acura cl auto with comtech headers, aem cai, and i believe aem pulleys. He was getting consistent 14.0's at 101 mph. Damn good for an auto and a great trap speed.
I have never had a chance to talk to the guy, just walked by thinking it was a 6speed and was very suprised to see an auto.

I also spotted a white older gen supercharged maxima. It looked like a 93 or 94 with a body kit, front mount intercooler, 18's. The thing flew! 13.8 and 13.9 at 102mph it what he was runnign all night. Not sure if that guy is on this forum. Hell, i didnt even think they made a supercharger for the 93,94 maximas.

Actually, I was up there the last 2 weeks on Wednesday. I did see that older white max too. I also saw a 2k2 6spd.. Actually raced him. Was that you with the Maine plates on it.. I was running my T-Bird last week and the week before my 2k2 Max 6spd... You going up tomorrow, weather permitting, I may bring the Max for a couple of runs...

Did you visually confirm he had a supercharger? Maybe it was a turbo.

On the same drag strip, I ran 14.6s @ 95.81MPH with just CAI and spark plugs. With headers 14.2s is possible. 14.0 is either with Slick tires or NOS.

It's a 89 VG Maxima with about 300,000 miles on it(3rg engine I think). It has a turbo charger. He mounted a intercooler(from a old Saab turbo) right where the battery normaly goes and he installed a hood scoop to blow the cool air into it. He made headers and a Y-pipe by hand. He's a cool guy, his name is Quake and he lives right near me.

You would knock off alot more than .2 seconds off your 1/4 mile time with N20 on any car. I doubt he had N20. But the Grippier tires are possible.

Dumb question: Was that a 1st gen or 2nd gen CL?
