We were on 95S or maybe 495, Maryland, 4 or 5 lanes, 2:30AM, perfect conditions. Ever since I got the Maxima he's wanted to see what it can do. His engine is a 2.5, mine's 3.5 of course. Not a fair race but he wants some. We were cruisin' at about 65-70, I'm a half a car length ahead of him, he stomps it and I let him get about neck and neck when I stomp it. Now mind you, he has the momentum so really he had a head start. He passes me for about a half a car length and then I simply blow the doors of his car. The Max just simply outruns his car.
We slow down from about 110 and this time we're neck and neck. I hear him stomp it, about a half a second later I stomp it. His car might as well be standind still. I loved every minute of it. Time for suspension upgrades, exhaust and intake. I love it.

I forgot to tell you, I have 2 amps and a 50-60 pound sub in my trunk as well as a passenger. He had no one in his car.

Not with 5 passengers(weight differs) you will get toss like a salad with some french dressing, but yeah 5spd Alty will give an R/T a hella of run...

i'd like to know myself....if they do, they should show more races with the supra... that car didn't get enough screen time... heck it didn't even go head to head at the race wars in the movie... more highway races would be nice too... like tokyo extreme racer zero...

and... is it a 10 second car if it hits quarter miles in less than 11 seconds or 10 seconds...

I'd only wish my maxima 2k2 can be modded to go 175 mph+ and stick to road like glue without sacrificing interior comfort...

Just for clarification, Intrepids dont come with 2.5L engines. Your choices are 2.7 V6 for the base model (rental car special), 3.2L V6 for the ES version (still slow, but alot better), and the 3.5L V6 in the R/T model. Slower than a Maxima, same engine as a 300M, so its not DOG slow. If you raced the 2.7L, than you should race a 911 Turbo so fate equals out now. Quit taking candy from babies.

Fast and Furious part 2. Not only would I like to see the Supra again. I want to see serioud tuners like the Lingenfelter Corvette, Hennessy Viper, M5, SVT Cobra, Saleen Mustangs, Skyline GTRs. That would be an incredible movie. It wouldn't be too realistic but it would be a step up.

My uncle works for Chrysler Corp so thats all he has ever owned since he gets them for 3% below invoice price plus all the rebates. He had a 2.7L Intrepid that I drove that was noisy, underpowered, but cruised amazingly well on the interstate at 100mph. Had a Buick like ride that was very reaxed. Ofcourse it went through like two transmissions in 60K miles.

True true. I hope they put more racing(realistic) in part 2. They can do with out all the drama this time.

Its a 10 second car if it runs the 1/4 in 10.99 or faster. If the car has only broken into 10s once or wice you wouldnt really consider it a 10 sec car IMO. It would really be a low low 11 car. I consider my car a mid 15 sec car because the majority of my runs are between 15.4 and 15.6.
