2k 5 speed times...New Best!
Well here is my best time
60'.....2.290
330.....6.379
1/8.....9.716
mph.....72.26
1000....12.607
1/4.....15.024
MPH.....94.50
The temperature was 75-80 degrees with a high humidity (85%). I had my front tires at 30 psi and rears at 44 during this run above. I was getting crappy 60's all night. I ran mainly low 15s.
I was kinda disappointed that I didnt hit 14's. I need to work on my 60' times because the mph is there for 14's. My functional VIAS added 4 mph. This was done at the same track with near identical conditions.

No, you dont! Certainly yes on the 3-liter
engines which make max horsepower right at redline do u need to shift at the redline but...the 3.5 liter engines have completely different HP and torque curves...redlining a 3.5 liter is slow, slow, slowing u down!
If u dont believe me, try two runs...one at redline, another 300 RPMs off the redline, then come talk to me

It's ussually very humid here in Hawaii, but I guess we'll see! Sorry if it sounded like I was hating? I'm not! I was just inquiring!

The main reason I didnt see 14s last night was my 60'. If I had a better 60' there is no doubt I could have run a 14.8. BTW, I had a full tank of gas (only 40 miles since filled) and reduced no weight.

Now with the functioning VIAS I ran a 15.024@ 94.5 mph with the exact same mods. The conditions for both times were very similar. It shows how much the VIAS does for 5th gens.

I meant reving each gear to redline and still getting a 15+sec time!

I just was rather surprized cus I heard way back that the 2K m/t were hitting 14 sec stock. I guess I must be imagining things. My stillen Y should be here in a few days. I should have it installed by next week. I'm going to the track next week Friday to see what I can do. Do you think I should go back to stockers for the run?
