Best bang for the $$$

I noticed that the berk intake was on sale for $50. I am highly considering this; it would be my first performance mod. However, I am also curious about the CAI; how much better is a CAI than the berk? Is it $150-$200 better?
Also, is the pulley worth the $200? What is another good mod that is worth the HP gain and doesn't cost an arm and a leg?

Thanks,
