Why Can't You Clear the Rear Corners Yourself?
***WHY can't you clear the rear corners yourself?***
why can't you clear the rear corners yourself? you can clear the front corners yourself, but not the rear? aren't they the same design, only different shape?
okay, you can clear the front corners yourself, from this url:
http://wwwcsif.cs.ucdavis.edu/~chin/...s/clears1.html
but why can't you clear the rear ones yourself?

The problem was never investigatedm because you could buy thr clears a while ago and the fronts had not come out yet. That's why Kev tried to figure out if he could clear them and he could. Not too long after he figured out the process, AutoDynamic came out with the front clears as well. So the rears were never investigated.
if you really want to know if you could clear them, look inside past the red part and see if you see another layer of material under the red... The front ones are like that. If the rear ones are not like that then you can't. because it would be like popping a hole in your tailights.
Just my 2 cents
I would probably just buy the clear corners:
1.) They're Cheap
2.) You'll have your stock lenses around if the clear ones ever get jacked, or you plan to sell your car, etc...
Asu: where'd u get em for $40?

you can clear the rears yourself but...
I cleared the fronts myself, but when you do the lens do not stick out as far. no big deal.
You can clear the rears as well but since they are only half the "diamond" shape it will look bad. the cleared lens will be flush with the car and the other half will stick out. Bottom line, you can but it will look bad.
I bought a pair of rear clears for 9.95 off ebay. Just keep biding on an auction that ends in the middle of the night. I bid $10 for about a week before I finaly won.
BTW wings just won the cup

the front lights are not attached to anything
the rear lights are half red and half the color of your car

I got fronts and rears through 2 auctions at $10 + 7 and 20 + 7 = 44 for a full set. I still have the front clears I cleared myself but like the "real" ones better because they have silver inside that makes the lights light up better. On my self cleared lights you could see the bulb in the middle and it did not light up the whole lens.
If you want my cleared fronts I'll trade them for stock lens (incase I sell my car, I can return to stock)
