Peformance Friction Impressions

I installed Performance Friction pads on my stock rotors up front last week with the help of BriGuyMax. I purchased them from AutoZone for $32. These pads are AMAZING. They stop slightly better than stock, but the great thing is NO fade. The pedal feel also got slightly better. The pads don't make ANY noise and dust exactly the same as my OEM's did. Overall, these pads are a great replacement for the stock ones and IMO are the best on the market for the Maxima.

Re: Peformance Friction Impressions

I get virtually no brake-dust on my wheels with the OE pads. How much were you getting before your replacement? I've always heard PF pads are great btw.

I put some cheaper pads on my maxima not that long ago also. I had some Repco MMs on there. Immediately I notice better braking and alot less fade. But then I remembered that my MMs were only about 1/16" thick. So sometimes it's hard to compare new pads to the worn out ones you are replacing(if your old ones were really worn of course).

I get a very light dusting. Turned my rims slighly daker grey with the OEM's. Its nothing compared to my mom's 330i, which has a caked on layer of brake dust within a week.

I just measured my old pads, I had 1/4" left on them. I would guess thats about less than 50% left.

I think I'll have to give these a try when I need new ones.
