I picked up an OBX GX-Type FSTB on E-Bay for $50. Looks good, and fits perfect - No complaints.

There are quite a few threads about this topic. I also picked up an OBX off ebay, but haven't installed it yet. Another guy had to modify the brackets on his OBX to make it fit correctly. It was putting pressure on his hood with modding the brackets. I have heard complaints about other bars that they keep pinching the drivers side wiper fluid line. I have heard the least issues with the Stillen bar, but it is costly. I am going to attempt to instal my OBX this weekend. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it fits well.

Dont...

get the OBX...its a "generic" strut bar. I am an **** individual and had to have the brackets modified to fit correctly under the hood. Its to HIGH. Some have said that pivoting it forward or backwards helps but on mine it was almost 3/4" above the fender line. I am still not 100% satisfied with it and will probably ditch it for a more proper one.

In hind site I wish I would have just gotten one "specifically" made for the Max. Guess thats what I get for trying to cut corners.

What year Max do you have? I had a strut bar from Courtesy Nissan on my 2k and it fit fine and was cheaper than most strut bars out there. It supposedly fits on the 2k2 but a lot of .org members had troubles with it hitting the manifold.

Courtesy's website is:

i have the courtesy strut bar, it cost like 115 shipped back in the day, now you've got strut bars that go for 45+ and they are all the same thing.

u already have a front sway bar!

for FSTB....I have OBX and I am happy with it...others have minor problems....one I know has fit problem.

I would get stillen (if u have money) or courtesy...they are install and forget bars.

Just to let you know,

Cattman is about to release his own FSTB. I've been working with him on it since January, but it's been put on the back burner a few times.

The bar is going to be made out of titanium and so far it will only fit 2K-2K1, but he's trying to get it to fit the 4th, 5th, and 5+(2K2-2K3) gens.

It should be of equal or better quality than the $tealin and priced between the Courtesy and $tealin FSTB. I'll let you know once I see the final version, hopefully this weekend when I go for a final dry fit. Also, if your not in a big hurry you might see Nismo and JIC FSTBs. Stealin has JIC FSTB in his magazine ads, but doesn't list that they are available for the Max yet.
