N E 1 read the Road & Track comparo

on 11 sport sedan in the latest edition? 11 sedans tested...Audi A4, BMW330 CI, Saab Aero, Volvo turbo, Lincoln LS, the baby Jaguar and others I cant recall and the G35 came in FIRST -beating even the vaunted BMW 330i.
Automatic G35 recorded 6.2 secs 0-60 and a 14.7 second, 94 MPH run -and that's an automatic...scandalous handling, good ride, etc.
makes one think really hard...

I haven't seen that article, yet. There was, however, an article in the Saturday Auto section of the newspaper. The article was very complimentary and I believe this article called it a serious BMW challenger. C&D was also very complimentary. Sounds like a great car and I liked what I saw at the car show. I like my AE, but an Infiniti ... Hmmmmmmm.

I have a feeling

a lot of Max owners will become either G35 sedan or G35 coupe owners over the next couple of years. The Infiniti service alone is worth the extra cash.

Yes, however you might want to add that the G35 won due to the fact that the 330i was around $7-8 more. Otherwise, the G35 was a VERY close 2nd place, which is AWESOME considering it's brand new vs. the 3-series platform being out for years plus the fact that it was an AUTOMAGIC while everyone else but the TL-S and Benz(I think) was a manual transmission.

Agree fully...the final point scores were

significantly influenced by 'value' (cost) but still...performance was awesome...one tenth of a second slower 0-60 than the 330i -with an AUTOMATIC...wow!

Good Job Infinite

It'll be interesting to see how it compares once it is available in a manual tranny. Very good showing considering it is its first year. I too considered the G35 however I thought the 330i had a little more panache with regard to styling and slightly better performance numbers. The article was great and very informative.

I paid $37,000 ($1200 OFF MSRP) even for a 2002 330i with the following options: Sport package, Moonroof, Bixenons.
