i need to know How to install two Alpine Type R Subwoofers

OK,
I have a 2000 Nissan GLE w/ Bose system. I was looking for an easy was to install these two 12 inch subwoofers. I have a box for now and will install custom boxes later. I also have a new amp that needs to be hooked up. I do not want to buy a new head unit and i would love to not remove the dash and everything to see if there is a preamp out. What is the deal with the 20 + wires runing into the stock amp? Is there wiring that i can tap off of to run to my new amp? Is there a way to do that and keep the other 6" sub still attached. What i want to be able to do is have this for more bass when wanted, but be able to turn it off and still have the little sub on the rear deck for when the mrs is driving????????? Any Help would be appreciated

ignore the wires goin in and out of the amp.. The sub is self amplified... Tap into the black and white wire coming out of the amp and going to the sub. These are your signal wires... Use the green wire as your remote turn on signal..

If you blow a fuse, it's under the hood marked "speaker". If you're running two 12"s, you might want to go up to a 20 amp or so.....

Thanks for the reply, but i do not know much about this stuff, i do know that there is a rca plug in (R and L) and 4 wire spots, L-, L+, R-, R+, and the power, ground, and remote. What do i do?
i have a diagra of the amp but i cannot paste it to one of these threads.

You can't hack into the Bose system without:

1. An amp with high level inputs
OR
2. A line-out converter ($20 or so....)- this converts the 4 wires (+L, -L, +R, -R) into a pair of RCA jacks.

If I were you, I would pull the 15 amp fuse under the hood before you start just to be safe......

wrong... like i said. tap into the black and white wires for your signal. They are a nice clean non amplified bass signal. They come from the bose amp and lead up to the bose sub, then are amplified by the sub amp. So tap in before its amplified...

they are a positive and negative. Get an old rca cable and cut it then wire the black wire to one wire and the white to the other. Then get an rca splitter and hook it to the rca cable u just made. Then plug that into your amp inputs..

Wouldn't it just be easier to use a long male pair and hook directly into the amp?
