dte

I just brought home a 2k2 maxima with 50 miles on it. The dte shows about 270 miles on a full tank of gas. Shouldn't this value be closer to 400? Do you think it's broken?

The Computer is off with the miles per gallon, but I'm not sure if its the samethign with dte... ...Drive around a little more, maybe that will make a difference....

Hope this helps...

Yeah, the computer probably just hasn't had enough time to figure out mileage. It is intended to learn from your driving habits and base its figure on how many miles you, personally, can drive before empty.

I wouldn't be worried.. it'll read near 400+ after you get to about 6000 miles or so... I'm at 7000 right now, and I filled up the tank and it showed me at 412 when I turned the key.

At least from the people on this forum, the mpg and dte has varied dramatically. Some are over 400 dte when full and other are 290 and less. It's nothing to be worried about.

Re: dte

The milage gets better when u drive more. Also when u floor a lot the dte will be a lot lower than it suppose to. Just look at how many miles you drove before filling up next time.
