Seriously, someone has got to know how to disable the "feature" where most of the functions are disabled in the 2002 Navigation system when the vehicle is in motion. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also, any way to bypass the startup screen when you first turn on your vehicle???

Many of the inputs for the Mav are not locked out when moving. The main thing that is disable is you ability to input destinations. They don't want you to type and drive at the same time. You can still acess the map and system settings at anytime.
