I've heard that getting an aftermarket cat convertor on a 5th gen max is a waste of money.

Not fact......just something i read somehwere on the .org

Does anyone have actual dyno's before and after the R/T Cat?

I have an RT cat and I'd say that it's probably not worth the money. You may pick up a couple of hp, but that's it.

If you've done everthing else there is to do to your exhaust system and that's the last available mod, then it might be worth doing. Otherwise, I'd recommend you spend your money elsewhere . . .

Honestly this will be easier.

Just got to a junk yard and find a regular cat.
Gut that cat out and just switch between the two inbetween inspections.
This way you will still be able to pass your inspection.

Happy hunting.
