Berk Intake mounting plate does not fil well

I installed my Berk intake couple of days ago and noticed that the mounting plate was rubbing against the metal house that is located direclty above it. I took the damn thing apart again and had to file a pretty good chunk of it before there was a gap between the plate and the metal house. Did anybody else notice that same problem

Be more specific. What house? I can help, I just did my install, but you need to provide more info, and a pic would REALLY help.

I dont have a pic, I believe it is the air conditioning aluminum house, it goes right over the metal mounting from the berk intake. It is right where the bottom screw is right on the side of that. I tried everything and it was rubbing against it, and I know that when you leave it like this (even though there is a piece of patting around it in that area) for a long time, the metals rubbing agains each other can damage the house.

you mean "metal hose"?

when installing mine, i didn't know whether to put it above or below that hose so i just zip-tied it to that bracket by the shock tower.

i saw Jer's installation and he placed it above the metal hose... i'm too lazy to put the bracket in now

Dude I have NO clue what you be talkin bout. I just installed mine, and then uninstalled it (silly recall) 2 days ago, and didn't see any A/C hose that could get in the way.

I just took it apart again and filed a pretty good chunk off of the side of the bracket and now it fits perfect
