I have a guy at work that is dying to race my new 2K2. As far as I know, it's either a 99 or 00 GTI VR6 5 speed, Intake, High flow cat, complete flow exhaust and of course a chip. He had it tuned at Auto Authority in Fairfax. What are my chances at the track in the 1/8 and 1/4 mile? I only have a drop in K&N, some good ol' Amsoil and it's a auto

Whatever you do, manual shift and be sure the AC is turned off.

 

I noticed in the auto that when shifting from 2nd to 3rd there's a slight delay. Should I just stay in 3rd the whole time?

he'll loose. with all that mods they guy has you have a slight chance on winning. those VR6 engines, they have soooo much low-end torque in them, its not even a joke, if he gets the jump on you, you're dead.

stock those things do about 6.6 0-60, that is a stock 2k2 auto 0-60 numbers. so preapre to bascily ...loose
