I held off my buddy in his IS300 (SWT INTAKE) with my basicly stock 2k1 auto Max.....A 2k2 will destroy a IS300!!!!!

By the way I got my a$$ handed to me by a G35 last night!!!

 

i beat one with my 2k auto. no performance mods.

 

funny you mention it, I handed a G35 its a$$ last night and another one handed me mine--both from a stop and both were really cool drivers

So far that has been the preferred food on my 2K Max'es diet. Have smoked them like crack since day one, no mods whatsoever, just premium fuel. Happy hunting, hope ya find 328i's and 330i's also, those are lots of fun.

I did that yesterday as I smoked an IS300 on my way home. Opened the sunroof, and gave the BRONX CHEER !... .... I slowed down, as he exited he threw a bunch of french fries at me !

 

Yeah, you should have him even from a freeway roll. I had a IS300 come up on my tail as I was getting on the interstate a couple nights ago. Was going about 60 coming off the ramp and he was right on my a$$. I led a little bit and he followed, but when I punched it at about 70 I left him trying to catch up until I let up at about 105

Hehe...thanks Kloogy! And to think - that car was originally 1st on my "to buy" list. THEN I took it on a test drive and found a reason I didn't like it - It had NO ***** whatsoever! Plus it was too damn tiny...hehe

 

Same here. Almost fell for a Banana yellow one for 35K with Navi ! Now I it for lunch ! My neighbor has an I35 with a Pop up Navigation, do you have that, its the same color as yours ! Im trying to convince him to soup it up ! He's 55 years old !

 

Haha! You sound like me! I was gonna get the Yellow one too. I wish I had NAV on my I35, I happen to have every option but that and the winter package. But I know what it looks like , my DAD has a navy blue I35 identical to mine but with the Popup NAV and winter pkg - I love it!

Kloogy - I dunno the chances of my dad joining the ORG. He seems to think his 18 year old son ought to be driving his new car rather than learning about it and playing with it..

 

I smoke I300 all the time. Infact I just raced a 97 Stang 4.6 and I think he had an auto, but he still lost!!!! I have a 2k model with an auto. Only mod is stillen brakes and K&N.

 

The IS300 was the first on my list as well. Then I drove it and I thought...that sucked, especially for those kinda coins. I got my Max for about $5K less than an equally prepped IS. My stock 2k2 can stomp them new mudholes and I still have money left over for mods too (So I can beat them worse)

don't challenge the IS on hwy17N or something tho, they'll hang you out to dry. great lil nimble cars

IS 300 will lose in a straight line, watch out for L-tuned IS 300s and you will get killed in any sort of curve or the twisties.

IS300s are SLOW bro they 0-60 @ 7.6 5spd stock.
Yeah yeah I know "0-60 times mean nothing man!" and "but they're rwd!
They're so gonna beat you in the twisties!"
BUT!
Trust me, if you're a good driver, you can pretty much beat everybody and anybody.
