costco tires

someone mentioned $60 off in their summer coupon book for bridgestones and michelins. does anyone know if you need that coupon, or will they give you the discount as a member anyways?
also, are there applicable dates where it's valid?

thanks

hey serin that was me...whether you physically need it i dunno...but i just went to Costco in chino hills on thursday and they have a blown up version on the door when you go in the tire shop so i dont think they would ask you for it, but i dunno....also, they dont carry pilot sport a/s or pole position so-3 yet...but i made my "order" for em...the guy told me that they hadnt setup for those tires yet but they were going to soon so i think he placed order to bring both those sets in....i told him 235/45/17s...oh yea, it expires 2morrow [6/30] but since he didnt have em in, he told me he'd allow me to use it when they do come in

Two things: today was the last day for the sale and at my Costco (Atlanta) they do sell pilot sports in 225/50 16 but not 215/55 16

I work at Costco and just say you were on holidays and get them to make an exception...they are usually good for stuff like that...

I used the coupon to buy tires when I was a member. the tires are ok, but you have a limited selection (brand, type, and size). Also since it is wholesale some tires might have defects (they say they don't, but you never know). Also, in my experience they can't balance worth anything, so yeah cheap price, but you get what you pay for...

buying tires wholesale has nothing to do with crappy tires...i know...i work there! that's the biggest myth out there about Costco and its quality of goods...and if there were defects they would replace it right away or as soon as possible. since it is a membership based business, it offers a double guarantee if your not satisfied with your product or membership we will give you your money back...100% of it! Sorry for the plug, but I had to do it! I buy all my stuff from there, it is well worth it! ANd I have never had any problems with my tires being balanced...Jsut my 2 cents!

I agree, Daddy Mac is wrong about this one. They are not any more defective than tires you buy at your local speed shop and they will order tires they don't keep in stock from any tire company from which they already purchase tires(at least my costco will). They just don't keep huge stacks of Pilots and Pole Positions because they don't sell them that fast and it costs money to keep stuff in inventory.
