battery saver?

i read somewhere 2k2's have this feature so i guess if u leave ur lights on in ur car, or ur hids, they turn em off automaticaly? can sum1 explain?

i am sure there is a timer on the headlights. in the 2000 the headlights will shut off as soon as you open the door, if the engine is not running.

I can't remember exactly, but I am pretty sure that it is on a timer mechanism. I believe after 45 minutes the lights automatically turn off. Check the manual, I am pretty sure it is in there.

All the 2k ups have it. Leave the door open to long and off everything goes, same thing if you have the doors closed and the lights on, if it taxes the battery too long, off it goes.

thats a good feature to have so i wont have to worry about my hid's dying on me if i accidentally leave em on

45 mins seems a little long dude, i think its more like 7-10 or so. thats how my 01 i30 is anyways

Like I said, I was not really sure, just trying to recall from when I first read my owners manual, but I do know it is on a timer.
