Well, i think that's in comparison to your average mini-van beam suspension. Compared to that, the Multi-link is lightyears away. Okay, maybe not, but you've got to at least hand it to Nissan for developing it as such.

Of course, comparing the IRS and MLB is going to get lengthy. They both have their + and -.

Just do this. Drive a stock Max, then drive on with Aftermarket Springs, FSTB, and a RSB... The difference is night and day. But even then, there is much work to be done !

how harsh is the ride with aftermarket springs, struts/shocks, fstb, and sway bars?

ie: eibachs w/ toxico blues and stillen fstb and sway bars

I currently drive a stock Maxima(see signature) so step one is complete. I'll be upgrading the suspension soon. Thanks.
I just don't feel so bad about multi-link now.

There are 3 types of springs. I had a choice of all 3 and chose Maxspeed. I got the drop I wanted, and they ride great with stockj struts.... there are many flamers that hate them. Some guys feel they need to spend more $$for H&R's , but I , as well as most Maxspeed owners are HAPPY ! It is not a luxury ride. But you cant have good handling, and a cloud like ride ! Just keeep asking around. Or meet up with ORG members that have springs...

I love how my car rides with my Eibachs. I also added a FSTB and RSB to finish off the combo. My car handles like a 330i, but without the 50/50 weight distribution. I wish there was a way to better offset the front weight. Maybe I can drive around with 2 fat chicks in my back seat??? Naw, I think it is better to keep the normal weight distribution than be caught with 2 fatties in the back

LOL...I hardly ever have anyone in the back. It looks like brand new back there. I am afraid that I will bottom my car out

Your springs drop the car lower too. I dont know if its an optical illusion, but my brother had 18s on his 99 Maxima with stock ride height for a little while and it made the car look higher(more wheel gap). Now his car is lowered and when he puts the stock rims on for the winter I will have to see if I can notice any difference.

Just do the RSB and FSTB and you will feel a world of difference in how tight the car gets. The springs will help a good deal, but majority of it comes from the RSB. The body-flex is cut down a huge deal.

So, put 'em in the trunk.

It'd be even better than the back seat.
