Suspension and Clutch
Suspension and Clutch
One:
My Clutch pedal on my 2k2 is making a strange noise. Where I live, it takes me several times to park my car due to the tight space and the crappy turning radius of the car. Recently I noticed that my when my clutch pedal is in motion it makes a squeaking sound.(like a spring in Tension) It only does this when I am parking, and I am using the Clutch excessivly in a short period of time. Any Suggestions on what this might be.
Two:
If you don't lower your car more that two inches, then do you need a Camber kit?
Thanks in advance.

Come on people
The squeaking sound probably is the return spring or assembly. If you can spary some white lithium grease on the spring and fulcrum it will more thabn likely solve the problem.
As for the camber kit I would say no. I have the Eibach Pro Kit springs on my car and from what I can tell the camber hasn't been effected enough to make a difference.
So you're in Columbia eh? Why don't you go to Rockingham with us tomorrow.

Those are the springs that I was going to get. How do you like them? Can you tell a difference by looking at the car? How much did you lower it?
Im very happy with them. But don't forget to cut the bump stops if you do install them. If you don't get Eibach I would recommend the H&Rs. Matts car (the blue one in my sig) has the H&Rs and when we installed them we didn't have to cut his bump stops at all. Both sets of springs have a nice smooth ride. The H&R are probbaly a little bit smoother and the Eibach are a little bit tighter.

Why did you have to cut the bump stops for the Eibach and not the H&Rs

Have you thought about going to Rockingham with us tonight?

Thats just what the manufacturers recommend. And they are 100% correct. Matts H&R springs don't hit the uncut bump stops. My Eibach springs hit the bump stops frequently. I suppose it's because the H&R are dual rate and the Eibachs are not.
