OSCAI

 

I haven't heard of anybody modifying the stock intake area as shown in the picture. I don't see how that would help on the Maximas since the air gets forced into a box then the filter and so on. Perhaps if the air flow in an Altima, or Maxima, doesn't have to do all of that it could help, but I don't see it happening on a Maxima. The key to the picture would be to look at it more from the top instead of just the front opening. Most, if not all, of the gains probably came from the K&N drop-in alone.

I tried the OSCAI setup with the K&N and concluded the OSCAI tube did virtually nothing. I removed the OSCAI and left the K&N and nothing changed.

 

I think you'll find that you're virtually alone in your criticism of the OSCAI, mdeal. From what I gather, most people who have them like them.

 

put ur hand on the OSCAI opening and ask someone to rev ur engine....I got my hand sucked it. It does help....
