Navigation system in 2K1 ???

Before anyone flame me, I already used the search engine but did not find a strait forward answer. Is it possible to install a navigation system on a 2K2 max ? Yes or No and how much it cost if yes, is there any right up on this ?

Thanks again for your support.

Cheers

It is so much integrated into other systems in the vehicle that it isn't feasable.

I agree, there is no feasible way to do this. There is just too much involved since all of your HVAC control are tied into the navi, as well as having to replace your HU with a single din bose system. You would end up spending probably >$4000 grand to do this, which just warrants getting an aftermarket system, that is capable of a lot more, for cheaper.

Get the Pioneer Nav system. Its just as good if not better than the stock 2k2 one and its ALOT cheaper.

Either way, nothing beats stock capabilities!

The Pioneer is better because it is DVD based and one DVD can cover all of North America as opposed to the Maxima stock Nav, which is CD based and you have to buy many CD's to get the same coverage.

Kenwood's is used in Lexus'. But in the Lexus you lose the birdseye view feature. Very good and reasonably priced for a DVD system. Get the KVT-911DVD and you got a DVD player and TV. Add the NAV and you got a sweet setup. Just look at the StreetConcepts Max for ideas of looks.

Any idea where to get the best price on the KVT-911?

The best I could find is $1700-$1800 on ebay.
