Rough day at the track today!!
I went down to Englishtown today for the Summer Slam but it felt more like I was Summer Slammed!!
I should have known it was going to be a bad day when I ran a 15.38@88mph on the first run. The best time I had all day was a 15.051 and that was by manually shifting.
I did beat most of the cars I faced with the exception of a boosted Civic and a 2K2 Maxima 6 speed that ran a 14.88@93.54mph. (That 6sp ran bad also.) I'm guessing that all the V6 cars were off today; a CL-S 6speed (I think) with modded exhaust ran a 14.96, a Sonata V6 (don't laugh) ran 17.4X several times (they usually run upper 16s). A 4G Max SE auto ran a 16.1X. A couple of VR6 Golf guys I was talking with had a really hard time getting back into the 14s today. (These were ones that I saw run mid 14s last month.)
Making matters worst was the fact that my wheelspin was excessive and killed my 60' times.
Frustration was the order of the day today.
I may not run again until October when it's much cooler out.

Today was one of the first days in a loooooooooooonng time when I've actually had NOTHING to do. I thought for about 5 seconds of going to the track around here, but then I knew it was going to be pretty hot out and that I'd probably get a sucky time anyways so I said to heck with it
I think I might finally take my Max to the track one day in the fall, too. Hopefully I'll have at least a Y-pipe on by then.
