Does anybody have just H&R springs + FSTB ( front strut bar ) installed. How much better would you rate the handling got from a 1-10. Please give me your suggestions.

I have a FSTB with H&R's installed, and I would say the handling is 100x better, however I also have a RSTB and a RSB, so I am not sure how much difference jsut the first 2 made, but it can't hurt!

Your springs would have made the most impact.

Btw, do you have a photo of your dash with the Kenwood installed? Thanks.

I got the h&r's and stillen fstb installed at the same time. Better handling i would say a 7. Since then i put on the 19's and stillen rsb. My only regret is not getting eibach springs it would handle even better. Oh well just have to wait for the jic coilovers..........

It's a 9
Definitely worth it together. Since I installed the H&R first, it help with the look and especially tighten up suspension and then adding the FSTB just dialed in the front end when cornering. A noticable different if driving twisty or autocrossing.

I autocrossed before it on and after, much..much better with it.

My wife drives it to work now since I just bought a used S10 truck for work and she said, [classic] "I'm so use to our car and when I drove a co-worker's Honda around this turn the tires squealed and notice it doesn't handle as well as ours."

mmm...though to myself, she driving the Max faster around corners... I said to her , "Well honey, that's why I bought the mods for the Max because it makes the car safer to drive..." LMAO [to myself of course]

Soundmike, I don't have one, but I will get one for you. Is there a question about it I can answer for you?

If it's too much of a hassle don't bother.

I just wanted to see how flush the Kenwood units go in the Maxima dash. I remember when i had my x815 in my old car, the Kenwoods came with a rather large black trim that goes around it. On my Civic that looked okay, but the Max is significantly larger.

Freeze2k2 I don't have no springs installed. Would I be better off waiting for the coilover kit

Soundmike, in the 2k2 there is a black border around it, as well as a new compartment created below it. This is using the crutchfield install kit.

Yep. I figured the trim would still be there, but to me it just seems Kenwoods are slightly smallish looking compared to other brands. Then again it might just be visual illusion.

How's the crutchfield kit btw? Would you say it's a perfect match?

Depends how much cash you want to spend. JIC coilovers are gonna be a big investment.

Soundmike it is a perfect fit, however it is not as shiny as the stock system or trim, it is more of a dull black color.
