02 Strut Bar Help

HELLO GUYS! I WANT TO BUY A STRUT BAR BUT I DONT KNOW
WHICH ONE TO GET. STILLEN HAS ONE BUT IT COST $187.00
I SAW ONE ON EBAY THAT'S ONLY $50.00 BUT IT LOOKS LIKE
CHEAP. ALSO, CUSTOM MAXIMA IS GOING TO HAVE ONE BUT I
DONT KNOW WHEN. THE QUESTION IS WHICH ONE SHOULD I GO
FOR? IS STILLEN WORTH THE MONEY OR THE EBAY ONE? OR,
SHOULD I WAIT FOR THE CUSTOM MAXIMA?

I installed a Courtesy bar in a 2k2 this past week-end no problems, about$80.

FSTB

I also have the Courtesy Nissan bar. I have had it on my 2k2 for about six months with no problems. One thing that I did notice with this bar, was that due to a slight amount of space between the bar and the place it connects to the endplates, there was occasionally a noise when going over medium to large bumps. The fix was pretty simple, I went to the store and bought some rubber washers to fit the space and no more noise.

wrong solution - that means it's not doing it's job. Tighten until motion stops. The purpose of the brace is to stop the tops of the strut tower from moving, not look cool.

Also make sure you have the right amount of torque, should be 35ish lbs.

i installed my stillen fstb about a month ago. I can't tell you whether it is worth the extra money, but it definetly feels better cornering and making sharp turns. I've had no problems with it other than the install, which is a whole other story.

Just an FYI for those who have the Courtesy FSTB, a couple of us have noticed that the bolts that hold the bar to the tower plates become frozen easily (snaps off when you try to remove them). I don't know if this applies to all the FSTB's (or even all the Courtesy bars).

that's the first thing you do when u get a FSTB under 100....change the bolt that holds the plate and the bar to something heavier.
