as in, your idle and everything is a little rougher, so your street smooth idle is sacrificed for performance, like always, stiffer suspension rougher ride, better performance, etc. etc.

Would these change the sound at idle like the Evo's and STI's?

yes a nice tune will smooth it out, but ya it will have a deeper sound, I have cams on my sentra QR25DE motor, sounded real nice with them in, soon to get new cams in on my VQ35 motor now

This cam set is odd. Any cam made from OEM nissan blanks (including stock cams of course) are backcut on the preload side of the lobes. These don't appear to be and the only aftermarket cams that I've seen that are missing this feature are the JWT S1 knockoff's sold on ebay. Nismo/JWT/BC/Tomei/HKS/GTM etc. all have that feature. If I had to guess, these look like ebay knockoffs stuffed into legit Nismo packaging and sold at full retail price. Any other pictures of your cams?

This feature can clearly be seen here:

Actually I sold them a while ago, sorry. You can close the thread. The guy installed them and said they're great.

I'm pretty darn sure they were knockoffs. Now the question becomes who duped who. Do you have any insight into this Kgkeen?

I have no clue man, I bought them off somebody. I have changed cams on my build to the JWT C-2 grind anyways. So if he's happy I'm happy, the guy who sold them to me locally is happy. Then that's that. Sorry I can't be of much help. And visually I don't know the differences you are looking for.

That blue on the cam is signature of JWT to do, doesn't JWT make the nismo stuff anyways?

Here you can clearly see where material has been removed from the preload side to reduce friction. OEM cams have this and all legitimate aftermarket camshafts as well.

I see what you're saying. You can see the same thing in my JWT C-2 cams.

So were you aware that these were knock-offs when you bought/re-sold them?

No, why do you think I'm surprised by what you are saying. My build just required larger cams so I went and upgraded mid build. I figured they were the S1 JWT stuff and I wanted them to be a bit more aggressive. I had no clue...

Who did you buy them from and how much did you pay? Just want to make sure this type of thing doesn't happen to future buyers.

I bought them off craigs list local to this guy named Juan. He has an Altima. I payed $1000 for them. He told me he didn't need them and would give me a good deal so I figured sure why not I'm doing a build and got them cheap.
