You cant do any mods w/out voiding warranty - performance wise.

When you get into modding, you have to let go of warranty. I have a 08 - i probably voided warranty a month after i bought it brand new lol.

Reason why is.. if you put a cold air intake -- if something happens that COULD be caused by a cold air intake, dealer will blame that, etc.

Honestly I dont care for the warranty, I hate the dealership. The only thing I ever used that warranty for was for the wiper blades because 1 wasnt working properly a little after i bought the car. Normally it isnt covered but being that i bought the car brand new, the blades should have been perfect. So they changed it for me... thats all.

I fully modded my max..screw warranty lol.

but in your case, the most you could probably do is a intake because you can always remove it and put the stock one back on but that doesnt give you much performance - just a lovely tone

In all seriousness, you can get an aftermarket axleback with custom flanges that mate up to the oem b. That way you can easily bolt and unbolt and switch between the factory and aftermarket mufflers.

So the only bad thing about a cold air intake is that they could possibly suck up water and lock up your engine?

Dude that posted before me deleted his response. Makes me look like an a-hole. Response wasnt towards you OP. And to answer, yeah CAI's do increase the risk of hydrolocking since the filter sits closer to the ground making it easier to suck up water driving through a puddle, etc...

There are preventative measures to take to avoid it from happening: running a bypass valve, hydroshield, and changing driving habits (avoiding large puddles etc).

Ask me how I know.....Ive hydrolocked before....all because I forgot to switch my setup from CAI to SRI.

Short ram wont suck up water. No way for water to get ALL the way up there except if you were crossing a river or something

If I were you, Id run a true CAI that tucks into the fender for safety, run a bypass valve, and be good. I have one for sale if youre interested.
