you gain for torque by let more air into your manifold because the vias restricts it

I'm real interested, but I'd like someone to explain the pros/cons/benefits/draw backs first. Sorry if I sound stupid, but I've searched the internet and haven't really found anything to help me understand. Thanks.

Does your BOP come with bolts or will the stock ones suffice? Also, does it come with a vacuum cap? I'm pretty sure this should work for 5.5 and 6th gens but if someone can confirm, I might be interested.

this is for just the plate. no bolts or vaccum cap. the shorter bolts will run you about $1.50 at your home depot. the vaccum line can be zip tied or left alone as it serves no function anymore.

its really a steal at $25.00 shipped

I really like the way you word things on this thread. I am exactly like you, very interested in knowing pros/cons. For the price of $25 sounds really nice. As OP says and as I see.

This is a block plate that removes the VIAS (Variable Induction Air Control System). you might notice barely a low end power loss on the butt dyno, but since you are removing an air obstruction, it will help top end. You will gain about 5hp on midrange and top end power. some claim the car feels peppier and smoother in the mid and top range.

i just did the first ever block plate for a 7thgen and the guy loves this mod

Oh my God! I am very sorry about your accident. And this is the first time I am seeing blood posted on the org. Wow! I hope you make a quick recovery. That is a big cut. I wish you well.

How many more do you have left? Might just buy one for the sake of buying because I feel bad you are hurt. And might or might not install it. Will research more. But how many left? And you send them wilth the nuts now? Means one does not have to go buy anything else?

your a good man but im ok. america loves pumping a person full of legal drugs lol

im providing the needed bolts as well , no charge extra. the line will have to be ziptied anywhere out of the way but if i find a plug for them ill add that in as well. im just trying to bring a resonable copied product out for everyone. the money that gets bank doesnt go a long way but i like helping people out and this is a hobbie for me.

i understand why nwp charges what they do. difference is there a company and im not. so there market up will be higher than mine anyday.

its like buying capt n crunch and then buying the stop and shop version. same taste most times just a different label lol

Dang! That just does not look good. Hope you make a speedy recovery. So since you are throwing in the bolts there isn't any additional hardware needed?

just a fashion plug for the vaccum line. in all honesty once you install the plate you can totally remove the line as it will serve no purpose at all. bolts are include with the sale of every plate

Yes Sir. it does. On a professional level i should not speak about the competition.

more info is on this site about vias block off plate.

in the search window go

search > advanced search> type block off plate> 6thgeneration.

lots of happy people. cheap mod as well. and mine are 60% off from the competitor who charges $60.00

cory, after a lot of research I have to ask this question.

I hear we lose low end. And some people say we have to buy the Jet MAF and we will gain the low end back. Can you chime in on this?

People, the gains I have read off about this simple mod is simply impressive.

Take a look at this thread talking about the Jet MAF sensor...

im usually on my6thgen alot than here but no matter what sit the jet maf has a 50/50 rating on the orgs. some rave about it and some say it a waste of money. theres a member selling 1 on my6thgen right now and i currenty dont own one.Chern max has it and hes the 1 guy i would trust for engine mods and he loves it.

the low end loss is minimal and from the cvt owners with the plate its non existant because of how the cvt trans work. the 04-06 5spd are the 1's reporting minimal loss but a definate mid and top range pick up with both transmissions
