Direction!! I recently puchase a pioneer avic-x950bh head unit in place of factory unit.I left the bose speacker system in place. Bottom line it sounds terrible,im very limited on how loud its to be played before distortion sets in!!any suggesting on fixing the sound quality

dont use any of the stock speaker or amp re wire and it will be fine

If it's anything like the 4th gen Bose, you need a limiter spliced in to take down the power that your aftermarket HU is putting down.
Make sure you don't have "loud" on too; it ups the power, which is what you don't want.
